Recently I came across following quote
Dream is not which comes in your sleep,
But which does not make you sleep.
Inventions are inventor’s envisioned dreams indeed.
Kudos to Maniratham for conveying analogous message in his recent movie GURU.

Head First Books
Couple of years back, I read "Sun Certified Programmer for Java" by Kathy & Bert and found it very interesting. I discovered that authors were founders of javaranch (become favourite site now). I found Head First Books while seeking for other books authored by them. I got Head First EJB and was pretty impressed. I was amazed to see how well they have presented a dry technical stuff as funny narration with copious visuals easily inculcating the concepts. They have pioneered new style of book writing and is enchanting the readers.
Forthwith I bought Head First Design patterns and it was astonishing. The best thing like about Head First Design Patters is the way each pattern is imparted. After stating the problem, they start doing usual design like a common programmer and reveal its cons. Then introduce the pattern and explain how it can be applied to produce efficacious solution. This helps better realization of its benefits. Apt problem choosen for each pattern and relevant examples from Java API facilitates recognition of pattern in real world. For illustration, excerpt for decorator pattern is available from oreilly .
I also liked Head First JSPs and Servlets. Happy to see its continuing with Head First Object-Oriented Analysis and Design being recently published.
